Yes, life can be tough. The question is, how to deal with it?
What attitude to adopt toward suffering?
- Tell oneself off, freeze and regress?
- Retreat and become anxious about life?
- Become despondent, defeatist and suicidal?
- Become self-destructive, revengeful and violent?
- Any of these responses would lead to a downward spiral
Rolando Toro offered an alternative way of dealing with distress and hardships.
I call it the Biodanza way of dealing with suffering - to transmute it into a sense of plentifulness!
Here are his suggestions
- Start by taking time out to focus on yourself and gather your energy to rebuild your inner-strength, positive self-image and healthy sense of self.
- If you are feeling bitter and outraged then use the energy of anger to create what you would like to see happening in your life.
- Get active and get rebellious! Develop your will-power, determination and perseverance.
- Double your efforts and keep going - a happier life is possible!
In Toro´s Words...
