Lifestyle changes are at the core of therapeutic and educational processes. Without a change in lifestyle your life will remain the same regardless of how many courses you do, how many well-renowned teachers you listen to, how many charismatic gurus you follow, personal growth workshops you attend or self-help books you read. The reality is that without actual lifestyle changes you´ll find that your life will stay as it is. |
By lifestyle change I mean adopting a lifestyle that is in alignment with what you think, feel and want for yourself. If you don’t create new habits on a daily basis nothing will happen. Expecting immediate results is not realistic either because change requires a daily commitment to making your lifestyle the foundation of the kind of life you want to create for yourself. It is the small changes repeated day after day that will allow you the necessary time to integrate the new habits and attitudes required for manifesting your desired life.

Do you want to be healthier and improve your energy levels? If yes, then that´s one of the simplest things you could aim for and you already know what you need to do - to adopt a balanced nutritious diet and start exercising on a regular basis. Without these behavioural changes you will not increase your vitality or achieve your ideal weight. |
What about Relationships?
Merely thinking about certain people can increase cortisol, tension and anxiety, let alone spending time with them at home or work. The emotional stress caused by toxic relationships has the potential to totally deplete your energy and create chaos in your life. It is therefore fundamental to seek relationships that do not stress you out and cause you to lose energy; in other words, to actively seek mutually supportive relationships. |
What About Your Home?
Another important aspect is to invest in your home, which is a true extension of your Self. What does your home say about you? Does it reflect who you are? Does it display traces of your journey? Does it provide you with a a sacred space in which you can rest, relax and restore? What small steps can you take to improve your living environment so that it works for you? |
Great changes strengthen your sense of Self. However, these will be conquered throughout your whole lifetime, so forget about quick results. Stop expecting decisions taken today to have results tomorrow. Such expectations have no basis. Focus on baby steps for small, daily wins. Stick to this approach and in a few years time you will look back in amazement at how much you have changed and how differently you are living now.

To keep yourself motivated, notice the small changes and rejoice every time you succeed in implementing a new daily habit. Remind yourself why you are doing this - to improve your ability to exert effort for the accomplishment of a chosen task, to move towards optimum living, and to create a life that respects and honours your own internal impulses. |
So, make time to connect to yourself and your deepest desires. Remind yourself that manifesting what you want will require you to commit to adopting the habits and the lifestyle that will enable you to realise those innermost desires. Check if what you´re doing is in alignment with your hopes and desires – and your small daily actions will make all the difference when it comes to finding fulfilment, happiness and self-realisation!
